Presentation of the project
Paribas Real Estate BNP apointed Dominique Perraut for the renewal of the former industrial site Metal 57.
Built in the middle of the years 80 by Claude Vasconi, 57 Metal is the last big architectural project of RENAULT before the transfer in 1992 of factories become too polluting. With its big Halles built in bricks and glass topped in sheds, the Metal 57, is considered as a masterpiece of the industrial architecture and is one of the last testimonies of the presence of Renault in Boulogne-Billancourt.
The project of reconversion of the site in offices is particularly attentive to keep the strong identity of this inheritance. The most significant part of the work of Vasconi, the facade lining the Seine and a piece of the building with its sheds, will be preserved. The rest will be demolished and then rebuilt in the same spirit as the buildings of the district of the ZAC "Seguin-Rives de la Seine", without excessive heights.
