French CLT

Visit to SACBA

Located in Tonneins (47), SACBA is one of the three French companies that manufacture cross-laminated wood (CLT). After being innovative in the field of glued laminated timber structures, this family-owned company, founded in 1963, reinforces its offer of innovative wood construction solutions by developing its own range of cross-laminated panels (Bosco CLT Sacba® Panels).

Used for the construction of long-range load-bearing structures, the CLT is an innovative system that combines strength, speed of execution and great architectural freedom.

For the manufacture of these large-size panels, SACBA has made a commitment to the French massif to develop the local resource, in particular to the sawyers of Pins Maritimes Landais.

Strongly involved in promoting CLT, SACBA took advantage of the creation of its production unit in Tonneins to launch CLT France at the national level.

The SACBA and Le Sommer Environnement shared the same commitment to support the logic of territorial development in favour of a sustainable construction industry, and took advantage of this visit to draft joint projects. To be continued...
